reuleaux polygons

i first (re)created a number of reauleaux triangles after having seen some at the collection at the department of mathematics at the university of goettingen. in roughly 2000 and they have always sort of informed my “architectural thinking”. i just recently got a chance to return to these and came up with what i am calling reuleaux polygons. these are really very interesting little critters with what seems to be very intriguing “constructive” possibilities.

next to the circle the reuleaux triangle (on which these are based) is the simplest object of constant width.
