mathematical model collection

a contact sheets of images from a classical mathematical model collection, originally made by hand in plaster in the 1800’s. Done under the direction of felix klein, these models catalog “formally interesting” types of singularities possible on a cubic surface.

it represents two contact sheets from our photographs of the collection at goettingen in 1999. and was the beginning of rapid prototyping research we presented at siggraph in 2008.

please contact us to use these images. we’d be happy to have you use them.
